Mercedes was bred by myeslf and Lori Darnall and was part of our first litter... She began the legacy that has become Ierne Irish Wolfhounds. She was co-owned by myself and Victoria Cook at Torian Irish Wolfhoounds and shown to her Championship by Victoria. Mercedes was bred to DC Nutstown Fear Mor of St Doulaghs, SC CGC TDI (Paddy) owned by Eileen Flanagan at Carrickaneena Irish Wolfhounds, she produced two puppies, Aine and Lucas. Mercedes was a strong moving bitch who finished her Championship quickly. She unfortunately died at five years of age to heart related problems. We have made every effort to reduce the risk of early heart disease in our hounds through aggressive testing and pedigree research. risk of heart disease is one every potential owner considering adding a
wolfhound to their family should be educated on and aware of, beware of
breeders who tell you their dogs are "healthy" and they've never dealt
with either a heart problem or some form of cancer... in those cases I
would walk away and seek out another breeder.
